Abstract
Argues that US electricity demand growth driven by data centers can be met without halting deployment, by activating spare grid capacity rather than waiting on new build. Assesses dynamic line ratings, advanced conductor reconductoring, power flow control, storage, virtual power plants, and data center demand flexibility, and recommends FERC incentive and planning reforms.
